About the Role: Kelltron Consulting Services is partnering with an IT support company to source a motivated Cyber Security Apprentice. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop essential cybersecurity skills while actively contributing to the protection of digital infrastructure. Through hands-on experience, structured learning, and professional mentorship, this internship is ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity.

As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will work closely with the cybersecurity team to enhance system security, monitor vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. You will assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures while gaining exposure to industry-leading security practices. This role is designed for those eager to learn and work towards becoming certified cybersecurity professionals.

Key Duties

Monitor network activity to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Assist in identifying, reporting, and mitigating security risks.
Support the team in responding to security incidents and implementing response strategies.
Conduct regular system checks and audits to ensure security protocols are up to date.
Assist in managing access controls and user permissions.
Participate in the creation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Candidate Requirements

Open to employed, self-employed individuals, career changers, returners to work, or unemployed candidates (within the last 12 months), non-technical backgrounds.
Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a PC/Laptop.
Effective time management skills demonstrated by successful and timely completion of projects.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Must have high focus on quality and customer service.
